Every item has a chain from raw material → forge → equipped unit. Per-culture forge sources, Tier I–V progression, and synergy bonuses live in equipment_chain.md.
Phase 2 schema. Equipment plugs into the armory & equipment attribute model. Phase 1 ships fixed-stat units; Phase 2 ships the full attribute + equipment slot system.
