Age of Light and Ruin is a persistent-world, climate-driven 4X strategy game. Ten cultures share a single living archipelago that keeps ticking whether you're online or not — storms drown crops, bandits fatten on lonely caravans, and a neglected temple is one festival short of a holy war.
This wiki is your player guide. It covers everything from your first hour through alliance endgame, advanced combat formulas, and lore.
| Fjordborn Clans — raiders who shrug off blizzards | Sun Dune Sultanates — desert mercantile dynasties | River Crown Kingdoms — flood-fed bureaucracies |
| Jade Lotus Empire — scholar-bureaucrats with monsoon engineering | Ironpeak Holds — mountain forge-states | Azure Isles League — coastal trade republics |
| Cairnveil Tuatha — pastoral feast-cycle clans | Condor Crown Confederacy — high-altitude road-builders | Red Earth Covenant — drum-mustered savannah confederacy |
| Thunder Lodge Confederacy — forest woodcutter alliances |
The world ends when one alliance achieves a victory condition: Religious, Economic, Military, Wonder, or Peace (Concordance). Each path has a hold timer and counterplay window — winning is a sustained achievement, not a single click.
Status: deep technical preview. Backend systems are mostly shipped; the client (3D world view + city-builder UI) is in active development.
